  Forest Service and FHWA Coordination

This Topic Area is intended to provide a place to exchange information, experience and ideas about environmental compliance, easements, and permits for highway projects near and across National Forest System Lands. This Topic Area is a joint effort between the USDA Forest Service and the Federal Highway Administration. The main goal of this Area is to share information, provide contact information, and provide easy access to reference information.

A secondary goal is to document portions of a complex process that requires two agencies, with different missions, to cooperate in developing and implementing highway projects.
